The Physician Paradigm
A targeted strategy with measurable goals to take your practice to the next level.
Physician Opportunity Overview
We serve a broad demographic of patients inside and outside London through telemedicine and our physical locations located downtown in London, Ontario.
Physicians can pick up walk-in shifts on a flexible basis without commitment, or work with us to build a bespoke practice based on their interest area. In addition to family medicine, our focus areas lie on the biggest challenges of the 21st century: Mental Health, Geriatrics, and Preventative Medicine. Our specialties in Geriatrics are growing fast with physicians and patients interested.
Currently in its beginning stages, we also have a 5-year strategy to help us become the best place to work for physicians, period. The strategy hinges on 3 pillars.
The Physician Paradigm
-
Profits.
Focusing on driving revenues for our physicians as well as for our institution to establish a strong market position and aggregate capital to reinvest into healthcare and company initiatives. -
Practice.
Having the very best tools and environment to work on because in medicine, minimalism saves lives. We are constantly iterating on building our distraction free, streamlined work environment so that physicians continue focusing on what they do best.
-
Professional Satisfaction.
Knowing that the work we do is not only changing lives, but it's attempting to change healthcare. Alongside, continuing to foster a culture of belonging and inspiration.

We have walk-ins

For the time being, overhead for all current and upcoming physicians is 70-3o across all our clinics.
-
We did an industry analysis and figured that common overheads span from 85-15 to 70-30. At the extreme ends of the spectrum, there are facilities offering no overhead and some in very expensive urban areas that ask for even higher overheads.
As we have learnt and other physicians may have learnt, organizations offering cut-throat overheads are also in a very cut throat niche of patient care. With extremely high volumes, and staff stretched thin over multiple locations. We are not in that line of business.
We are extremely passionate about re-investing into something that can become a benchmark in primary care. We have staff that is better compensated, massive rental fees for a premium location, and some of the best gadgets in the industry. So we decided to set a overhead at a price point where we can ask for a little more and offer a lot more in return.

Everything. This company is physician led, with history and current interest in intersecting healthcare, health tech, and public health. For our patients and physicians, we want our service to come with all bells and whistles provided, all-stops removed. We have multi-award winning phone technology, HIPAA compliant software to help coordinate patient care, and a team with years of experience and strong knowledge of the local healthcare ecosystem.

We think most current EMR's in the market are kind of yuck. The big companies keep buying new startups only to shut them down and continue offering their own outdated piece of software.
We have plans for that. But for now, we use Accuro at one location, and an EMR called advantage at another location. The most sensible replacement for Advantage is currently being explored.

Kindly refer to our other site explaining our vision. We are extremely passionate about it and convinced that is the way forward. With healthcare in Ontario on the verge of being privatized, some of the biggest organizations are committing to fee-for-service and block fee setups. If patients start paying out of pocket in the near future, FHO physicians will be left behind.
Our clinics currently run on a FFS model, with plans to subsidize our service as a whole through other operations. This way, physicians can be better paid and our organization can be better resourced without falling into conflict-of-interest through private billings. -
Support includes other family physicians and internal medicine specialists. We have also been engaging with doctors who have an active interest in prevention and lifestyle medicine. Our new service is being built on a model of more active case management for patients who have to interface between physcians. As part of this, we're developing our toolkit for doctors across sites to better communicate with each other. Additionally, if there is an interest, we would love to roll out our on calendar of ongoing CME events and activities at the snazziest spots in London and Toronto. Through this, we can develop and distribute our own internal knowledge base of best-practices.
